San Francisco Is Open and Waiting for You!

City and State Updates

There have been some key changes to our public health guidelines in San Francisco in light of the new Delta variant. First, thanks to millions of vaccinations, California’s economy is open and there are no county tiers, capacity limits, or physical distancing requirements. For more details, click here.

As of August 3rd, due to rising cases of the Delta variant, you must wear a mask indoors in public places even if you are vaccinated. Wearing a mask offers an extra layer of protection and helps slow the spread. Children under the age of 2 are not required to wear face masks, however, unvaccinated children 2 and over must wear face coverings, like adults, inside public buildings. Fully vaccinated adults can exercise or gather in small groups outdoors without masks, but are encouraged if you find yourself in a large group outdoors.
